A collection of Mexican pulp comics from the 1970s and 1980s informed the key prints for spring/summer ’21. These graphics have a hand drawn and vibrant style, while touching on themes of mystery and sci-fi.A loose, painterly approach to stripes this season is inspired by the work of the French painter, Bernard Frize.

Sportswear continues to be a key theme in the PS Paul Smith collection. Vintage sportswear and the colourful design of sports courts and running tracks are reflected in the colour palette of the collection, which is made up of earthy tones punctuated by accents of red, acid yellow, cobalt blue and emerald green. Another key print is the photographic crowd motif, which seems like an abstract pattern from a distance but rewards closer inspection.

In addition, a range of functional activewear has been added to the collection this season, crafted from technical fabrics with performance features such as moisture wicking, thermo regulation and quick drying.

Injecting a much-needed sense of positivity, the PS Paul Smith Happy collection is a simple and universal graphic take on the PS Paul Smith logo that features on a collection of everyday essentials for men and women.

The Happy logo features on: nylon outerwear and quilted mid-layers; denim shirts; a collection of casual cotton essentials including sweatshirts, hoodies, polo shirts and sweatpants; plus a series of classic T-shirts in strong colours and bold stripes.
