Hermès Reopens Renovated Flagship Store at Central Embassy, Bangkok
On January 9, 2025, Hermès proudly announced the reopening of its newly renovated store at Bangkok’s Central Embassy, a stunning architectural landmark in the city center. Now doubled in size, this store is one of three Hermès boutiques in Bangkok and showcases the brand’s sixteen métiers in a sleek, modern space inspired by Bangkok’s traditional bamboo structures and warm architectural tones.
A Contemporary Design with Local Inspiration
The store spans two expansive floors, featuring a newly extended upper level. Its façade is adorned with champagne-colored lacquered inserts, resembling split bamboo, that filter sunlight into the interiors. At the entrance, Hermès’ signature Faubourg mosaic tiles, in a gradient of caramel to cream-beige, set an elegant tone.

Inside, the thoughtfully curated layout includes beauty and fragrances tucked into a curved, flowing space that leads to the women’s silk section at the center of the store. On the right, fashion jewelry is on display, while the left houses equestrian and home collections, seamlessly connecting to the serene leather goods area. A terracotta terrazzo staircase leads to the inviting upper floor, which features women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections, men’s silk, and the shoe section atop a striking graphic rug. Adjacent is the jewelry and watch salon, embellished with sand-toned circular carpets and delicate glazed details.
A Blend of Heritage and Modernity
Designed by Parisian architecture agency RDAI, the boutique creates a serene and immersive shopping experience. The design harmonizes contemporary aesthetics with Hermès’ timeless identity through details like wooden screens, shimmering finishes, and locally crafted carpets that guide visitors through the space, reflecting the rhythm of the house’s craftsmanship.
Artistic Accents Rooted in Nature
Highlighting Hermès’ connection to nature, the store features a curated selection of artwork from the Émile Hermès collection. A series of three-dimensional horse sculptures by French artist Marie Christophe, crafted from skeletal wire, appear to gallop mid-air along the staircase. French artist Cécile Baillot-Jourdan contributes vibrant geometric illustrations with circular motifs, while French photographer Tadzio’s black-and-white imagery captures the elegance of a dancer in motion.
An Invitation to Timeless Creativity
Hermès invites visitors to explore this revitalized space and immerse themselves in the brand’s creative universe. The store is a celebration of artistry, craftsmanship, and innovation, pushing the boundaries of timeless design.
