BLACKBARRETT

Blackbarrett was drawn into the creation process of both machines,looking at the initial line drawings, combining both sharp angles and fluid curves.

 

 

We wanted to design and create our own robot machines, that would stand strong as an Industrial graphic. Focusing on sharp angle lines and hard metal surfaces. We combined these two elements to produce abstract and striking images. Creating additional bold sharp black and white minimal graphics  to balance the overall vision.

 

 

The future design of the car created another direction for us. Respecting the design and form of these cars, we were inspired by the paneling lines, angles of the bodywork

and the design and energy of their interiors. From this we re-created and merged shapes and textures, to produce strong monochrome graphics.

 

 

Striking graphics were created from Topography Maps that our future cars would drive on, Creating fictional landscapes from micro line curves and contours.

 

 

In addition, we re-worked our love for camouflage. For this season we created a monochrome graphic from comic dot pixels. Blending and re-working the shape of Camouflage.

Creating layered appliqued products alongside vivid printing techniques.

 

  

Black and White are this season’s main colours. Blending Grey Metallic tones via graphics artworks. Combined with Bold True Red and Vivid Cobalt Blue tones.
