This season, Diesel takes you on a colourful and kitschy tour of Miami. “Miami is a place I’ve always admired for its art culture, art deco architecture and beach lifestyle,” reveals Artistic Director Nicola Formichetti. “We have the Pelican Hotel here too so it’s a part of our history.”“I’m inspired by the uplifting, 80s pop colours every time I visit. I wish the entire world was like Miami during summer.”

 

 

The first stop is Flamingo Road, where the vivid and elegant animal makes an appearance on women’s sweaters, sometimes in 3D form. Prints rule, from cutesy hearts to sophisticated polka dots for her, and camo and rainbow details for him. Oversized rivets are this season’s punchy hardware story, in pure metal or a mix of metallic colours. The cut-outs stamp everything from sweatshirts to t-shirt dresses, women’s high-heeled sandals to this season’s collectible bags.

 

 

 

You’ll then take a casual and stylish stroll through a modern-retro grouping that looks to Memphis styling for inspiration on flirty silhouettes, clean and sporty jackets, and for the first time in Diesel history, pink pieces for men.Finally, the tour concludes with a trip back to the 1980s where the brand’s collaboration with graphic designer Yoko Honda has resulted in nostalgic palm tree prints and beachy graphics in pale and coloured denim, and pastel hues.

 

 

For summer, Diesel expresses its upscale skills in the denim wash business with a range of bleached styles which are juxtaposed to a series of whites. These are balanced by the vivacious attitude of the colorful designs showing cuffs in contrasting tones.From essentials to trendy pieces, the “Modern & Contemporary” range includes edgy silhouettes, spanning from flat front, cropped styles for men to skin-tight women’s options.Classic silhouettes with a vintage soul are combined with innovative treatments and seasonal washes in the “D.N.A. Heritage” collection.

 

 

 

A sartorial approach updated by a high-tech spirit characterizes the “Diesel Denim Atelier” range, while the most refined customers have the chance to personalize their jeans with frayed hems and contrasting stitching thanks to the C program.

 

 

Diesel’s expertise reached its highest level with “Slow Indigo”, a men’s collection of denim styles manufacturedand washed in Italy with the most traditional and sophisticated techniques. Crafted from the best premium denim fabrics, these jeans require a long production time to obtain their luxurious, distinctive look.

 

 

New men’s styles are introduced for summer. These include “Thommer,” a skinny-leg option coming in a regular slim fit which shows a modern, sleek silhouette, as well as “Rhial,” a fashionable drop-crotch pant with a cropped carrot leg. Diesel female customers will be able to choose among a range of new styles for summer. “Slandy” is a skinny style crafted from super soft stretch denim guaranteeing an uplifting effect on the back.

 

 

The “Joggjeans” categories, now featuring embroideries, mixed materials, contrasting stitching and prints, is expanded with the addition of the hyper comfortable “New Chino,which is available in a wide range of washes.
