For the second time, Wang includes both men and women on the runway.
Looks are gender fluid, striking a balance between easy and refined, the collection conceptualizes a personal adaptation of disruptive ‘power dressing’ at this very moment in time.
The clothes are assertive through comfort, and value street etiquette over rigidity. Menswear staples like a long overcoat, field jacket, hoodie, and flannel shirt are updated in luxurious materials juxtaposed against banal, everyday t-shirt dressing. The approachable collection rejects the staid. Instead, it simultaneously references today’s fast-paced digital popular culture, while drawing inspiration from the early days of hip-hop.
